Halloween

This year, both children used last year’s costumes. It will be the last time that these specific costumes will be used on them but I’m sure there are others that will be happy to get them. We invited Nathan’s friend Jashawn and his family to join us trick or treating. Oddly enough, both of the boys were Spiderman! All the children had a great time and were very eager to eat ALL the candy that they collected. Sarah did get tired after about 45 min. so it’s a good thing I brought the stroller.

Carving Pumpkins

We aren’t quick around here but at least we got carving our pumpkin done before Halloween night! We had 2 to carve but one of them had wormy things on the bottom and it looked like they made a whole so we left that one un-carved. Both of the children did NOT want to put their hands inside to clean it but if they didn’t want to help we couldn’t make a face so they dug in, complaining all the while. At one point, Sarah came out with Nathan’s garden gloves (and without laughing) I had to tell her no way.

Play Dress up

Sarah is the girly-est girl around. If there is not a nail polish or lipstick that she doesn’t want to wear or at least try. She has a couple clear lipsticks that I keep on the kitchen counter that she can’t reach but if she asks, she can use. Of course I have to watch her the whole time or it will end up on more than just her lips! One night she was being so cute with it and I was sitting watching here when I got this idea…….

Can you see the intense study on her face? It was all I could do not to laugh while she put the lipstick on me!!! A makeup artist in practice? Mary Kay rep? Who knows. But she sure was proud of what she did! And don’t I look better for it?!? SD530610 SD530612
